as a former VR developer, VR is still too gimmick, and that's not gonna change anytime soon. I like that Nintendo is being cautious with that.

!6GB is plenty. If you want more memory, etc, the Boox go 7 is far better, not locked into any eco system and can have better colour as they are adjustable, so can mute them or vibrant colour. But no no e ink colour will match an ipad, but has the advantage easy on the eye even for comics. An ipad or phone is hard on the eyes, and om my Clara can and do read comics. Its great

If you have a good gaming PC Quest 3 is a great for PCVR. Alot of games are cross-buy as well.

I have that headstrap and it's awesome. Plus you can take out the face mask while wearing it, getting you closer to the lenses while it also gives your eyes a bit of breathing room. It's great when you want to watch a movie or something.

The passthrough is shit for the moment and the pixel density is quite low. I expect the next gen to be a great improvement and a must have for everyone.

You can take screenshots when you install nickelmenu. Oh actually you can also enable it by connecting it to a computer and changing the screenshot=false setting in the config file. The power button will the be reused as a screenshot button.

For me, Kobo is just an more open platform with many features and where I can easily download books and audiobooks on from all kind of sources. Kindle feels overpriced and like a ecosystem/advertisment vehicle

There's just a burden to VR that doesn't exist in traditional gaming, which is why I don't see it taking off any further than it already has. I own a Quest 2, bought it around Black Friday last year; it's pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure I haven't used it yet I'm 2024, nor has my wife. We have several games for it, even Half-Life Alyx, but there's just this barrier for VR. After my kids are in bed, it's damn near 9pm and I don't want to jump around and move my body. I want to sit, either Veg with some TV or a simple game on my laptop or Steam Deck and that's it. I don't want to strap something to my head that requires me to be "in" and unavailable. Which is the other thing. After dinner, before the kids are in bed, I can play some games on my laptop and set them down at a moments notice. VR I need to sequester myself in another room and hopefully hear my wife or my kids calling to me or hell, even accidentally beat one of my kids down when they sneak up on me while I'm playing In Death: Unchained. The experiences I've had with it are neat, but it's just been collecting dust for me, because even though it's cool, it has large barriers and I get 99% of the fun with just a normal game on my PC. If Nintendo could do something to break down that main barrier, I could see VR being more interesting, but until then, it'll languish in my cabinet.

After I bought a Quest 2, I felt that it was a device that had the full face of Nintendo, especially after the Wii and WiiU, that Nintendo specialized (even though the WiiU was a failure) in being a company that seeks to bring these innovations in movement, crazy controls and full of different ways to play. For those who like innovation in gameplay, and miss the Wii era with sports games and games with movement, the Quest is the perfect successor. Sometimes it seems more like an evolution of the Wii than the Switch itself, which despite being a very good console, when it comes to playing games, in fact, it doesn't bring anything new in terms of motion sensors, it's basically what it already had, but in a better device. But with Quest, when I played it for the first time I felt like I was truly on a real Wii 2.0, a next step in gameplay, you'll have to try it to understand. So much that after playing several sports, swords, shooting and music games in the Quest, I recently bought Nintendo Switch Sports for my Switch, trying to recapture a bit of that magical Wii era, and no... it's not the same thing, it's already been far surpassed by VR games, it felt super limited. You can still have fun at parties and such, but Quest games of this style, which would be an evolution of the motion sensors that started on the Wii, already far surpass even these Nintendo games. Anyway, the fact is that VR is expensive, and if it wasnt for the Quest and Facebook efforts to make it really cheap (by probably "stealing" our data and seeing our entire privacy over that cameras and mic), the VR comunity would be even smaller than what it already is, and Nintendo probably wouldnt be able to make a device like the Quest for such cheap price, so it wouldnt be viable for them to do such a thing. Even with the Quest being actually pretty cheap (it costs less than PS5 or 4 depending the version), its just that way because Facebook can afford it. Nintendo couldnt afford it after the low sales of N64 and Gamecube, and specially after WiiU failure. Also, even the Quest has some restrictions in gameplay for young children. I remember that its not recomended for kids bellow 11 years of age, something like that, so I suppose such thing is unthinkable, a Nintendo console that is not recomended for children.

not only is Meta the most affordable, it also has the highest number of games and their games are really good too. It's the only VR platform that has an Open World 100+ hour made for VR, Assassin's Creed and now it's getting Batman Arkham Shadow. I really like how Meta is trying to shoot for the moon in this case.

Switch VR was fun to try in Zelda BOTW because it was the only Switch game you can play in VR without the Labo VR If they had a higher resolution screen, they could make VR more viable with their next handheld.

The point is: VR implies "good hardware". Something Nintendo is no more known for. The best console vr experience is Playstation for this reason.

Even Sony is dropping VR. And Nintendo Will not surf the VR hype, because VR requires a robust hardware, and Nintendo doesn't care about hardware power.

IMO, VR (as it currently exists) goes against some of Nintendo's key tenants. VR is still very expensive. Sony didn't price the PSVR2 because they are greedy. It cost more than a PS5 because they couldn't sell it for any less without taking a huge loss. I bet Meta was swallowing a loss on their entry-level Quest headsets. Nintendo doesn't sell expensive machines and they don't like to make loss leaders. Nintendo's most successful machines were sold at a profit from launch. VR tech is still experimental. Nintendo likes to work with proven tech that they know how to work with. "Lateral thinking with withered technology." Nintendo still likes to sell game consoles as for the whole family. They still embrace couch co-op and multiplayer. Everyone says it, but VR is a very isolating technology. Another problem is VR games require dedicated development. Not many normal games can be easily ported to VR and vice versa. Nintendo just consolidated their handheld and home development teams into one with the Switch. I doubt they are keen on making separate studios to make VR games. Plus, 3rd party support for VR is limited at best. Sony found that out. So unless things majorly change with VR, I doubt Nintendo will seriously get into it. But the problem with VR is that its supporters always claim that all its problems will be fixed "in the future" but that future never seems to come.

Com isso dito o que você diria da sua experiência com HQs com o kobo até agora? Vc acha ela tão boa ou melhor que um tablet? Caso me responda obrigado :)

I went with the Clara BW only because when reading on the colour the font was not as sharp as the BW. As a migraine suffer this is the first reader I have been able to read on. All kindles gave me a headache. You should contact Kobo about their car they have the best customer service. Mine still looks brand new and it traveled all over Portugal last month. ❤ 🇨🇦. Great video.

The MM is still my favourite handheld

I used to own a B/W Clara but the size was a bit too small for me to read comfortably, so I decided to go for the Libra when I recently discoverd the color models. The size is great and screen looks nice! There seems to be a lot of discussion regarding the lower resolution, but honestly when I used to read printed books a lot of them didn't really excel in print quality anyways. For me the resolution and colors are perfectly fine on the Libra, though I can see how the need to have the inbuilt lights on almost all the time due to lowered contrast can be an issue for some 🤔

I second everything said in this video. Coming from the awesome Q2, the Q3 is fantastic. The stock headstrap is infact pooch poop (while it works, the 2 pressure points of the strap when you tighten it against the back of your head will give you motion sickness) and so bought the BoboVR headstrap and battery as well. The Q3 is $$$ but very much worth it. Mixed reality is just wow..
